Water Treatment Process

WATER TREATMENT PROCESS FROM SURFACE WATER

Brief description of the principle:Surface water is pumped to coagulation, flocculation and sedimentation system to remove most of suspended solids and colloids in river water. The water is continuing to be led through a rough sand filter for further removal of suspended solids before flowing into a special filter, including sand, activated carbon, and ODM material to remove the odor, color and toxic substances through adsorption mechanism. The water is then pumped to a fine filtration equipment with micro-filters to remove sediments larger than 5 μm. This filtration system operates as a safety step for the downstream RO filter system. The water continues to be pumped with high pressure through the RO membrane with high-pressure resistance and 0.1 – 1 nm gap. The layer is used to eliminate solids, ions, heavy metals, microorganisms, bacteria and organic substances which makes the water completely pure but do not change the physical and chemical properties of water.

WATER TREATMENT PROCESS FROM GROUND WATER

Brief description of the principle: Groundwater is pumped to oxidation tower. With forced ventilation to evacuate CO2raising the pH of the water and providing dissolved oxygen, Fe2+ and Mn2+ in the dissolved form will be oxidized to precipitate to Fe3+ and Mn4+ and will be removed in the clarifier. The water is continuing to be led through a rough sand filter for further removal of suspended solids before entering special filter including sand, activated carbon, and ODM material to remove odor, color and toxic substances through adsorption mechanism. In case of water with high hardness, it is necessary to have ion exchanger column to exchange Na+ ions in resin with Ca2+, Mg2+ ions in water. The water is then pumped to a fine filtration equipment with micro-filters to remove sediments larger than 5 μm. This microfiltration system operates as a safety step for the downstream RO filter system. The water continues to be pumped with high pressure through the RO membrane with high-pressure resistance and 0.1 – 1 nm gap. The layer is used to eliminate solids, ions, heavy metals, microorganisms, bacteria and organic substances that makes the water completely pure but do not change the physical and chemical properties of water.

Ground water treatment is applied in producing drinking water, process water for food processing, pharmaceutical, soft drink and beverage industries.
