According to initial information, on October 29, the Import Procedures Team coordinated with the Anti-smuggling Control Team (under the Saigon Port Customs Branch Area 1 - Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department) to suspect abnormal signs from 25 containers of machinery and goods imported to Cat Lai port by Tri Quang Transport Trading and Service Co., Ltd (address 60, Nguyen Van Giap Street, Binh Trung Dong Ward, District 2) under the name of operation, should conduct secret screening and check 5/25 of the above containers.

Through inspection, the authorities discovered all 5 containers containing scrap. Faced with the serious nature of the case, the Saigon Port Customs Department KV1 reported to the leaders of the City Customs Department and opened all 25 containers, and discovered that they all contained smuggled waste, concealed with a layer of plastic. block pallets outside for used air-conditioners.

The case is currently awaiting the results of the investigation of the competent authorities.
