Implement the conclusions of the National Assembly Standing Committee in Notice No. 1265/TB-TTKQH dated 7/7/2022 on the project Resolution on environmental protection tax rates for gasoline, oil, grease and consider proposals On the implementation of the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Finance to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies in, to organize the immediate implementation of Resolution No. 20/2022/ UBTVQH15 dated 6/7/2022, ensuring the effective promotion of the policy.
The Ministry of Finance shall assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with concerned ministries and agencies in, urgently studying and amending the Decree on the Export Tariff and Preferential Import Tariff (MFN) to reduce preferential import duties. MFN treatment for gasoline products is appropriate in order to diversify the supply for the domestic market.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade shall assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with the Ministry of Finance and relevant agencies in, continuing to review other factors constituting the base price of petrol and oil prices in order to have more room to reduce gasoline prices in management. oil in water.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Finance to perform the above tasks in accordance with the direction of the Government leaders in Notice No. 57/TB-VPCP dated June 16, 2022, Dispatch No. 2179/VPCP-KTTH dated June 16, 2022. 1/7/2022 and Official Letter No. 2272/VPCP-KTTH dated 7/7/2022.
The Deputy Prime Minister also requested the Ministries of Agriculture and Rural Development, Labor-Invalids and Social Affairs, Finance, Industry and Trade, Transport, and the State Bank of Vietnam to study according to their assigned functions and tasks to be able to supplement supplementing support policies for a number of people directly affected and facing many difficulties due to high gasoline and oil prices, such as fishermen, the transport industry, the poor, low-income people, etc.

Specifically, gasoline, excluding ethanol, decreased from 2,000 VND/liter to the floor level of 1,000 VND/liter; Flight fuel decreased from 1,500 VND/liter to the floor level of 1,000 VND/liter; Diesel oil decreased from 1,000 VND/liter to the floor level of 500 VND/liter; Fuel oil, lubricating oil, grease reduced from 1,000 VND/liter to the floor level of 300 VND less; Kerosene keeps the tax rate of 300 VND/liter (the floor level in the tax rate bracket).
The application period of the Resolution is from July 11, 2022 to December 31, 2022. From January 1, 2023, the environmental protection tax rate shall be applied according to the provisions of Resolution No. 519/2018/UBTVQH14 dated September 26, 2012 of the National Assembly Standing Committee./.
